Right off the bat I have to say, this video was very well made. I was captivated from start to finish by the camera work, the narration, and the editing as well. It all came together perfectly and I really enjoyed that. I got the impression of a sad comedian from our speaker George Watsky, someone who tries to entertain others with laughs and jokes because he cannot provide himself with that same joy. Everything from his body language to his description of his day to day life just screamed sadness but he seemed to be alright with it. I believe the purpose of this video (which felt like a short film) was to show how everything is the same from a broad view, but when you zoom in you can find things that make everything unique. I drew this conclusion from his description of how every small Midwest college felt the same to him, but his shows were never consistent. Overall, this was a fantastic video and it definitely did a good job promoting his book.

My writing process is quite frankly a mess. I don't have a certain structure that I follow or anything like that. Typically when I receive a writing assignment, my first step is to find out the length of the assignment. I tend to be a short and sweet type of writer so length is always essential for me to keep in mind. My next step is to find out when it is due. I am a procrastinator most of the time so if I know I can knock it out fairly quickly, then I'm going to wait until the day before. However, if I know that the assignment will take a while, I'll chip away at it day by day. When it's time to actually sit down and write, I reflect on the prompt for as long as it takes me and then I type away. When I finish, I'll reread my work and revise it. My process isn't great by any means, but I like it. The only part I want to do better at is I want to stop procrastinating so much (which is why I'm doing this the day of) so that I can have less stress and give myself all the time that I need instead of frantically writing the day before it's due.
