My writing process is quite frankly a mess. I don't have a certain structure that I follow or anything like that. Typically when I receive a writing assignment, my first step is to find out the length of the assignment. I tend to be a short and sweet type of writer so length is always essential for me to keep in mind. My next step is to find out when it is due. I am a procrastinator most of the time so if I know I can knock it out fairly quickly, then I'm going to wait until the day before. However, if I know that the assignment will take a while, I'll chip away at it day by day. When it's time to actually sit down and write, I reflect on the prompt for as long as it takes me and then I type away. When I finish, I'll reread my work and revise it. My process isn't great by any means, but I like it. The only part I want to do better at is I want to stop procrastinating so much (which is why I'm doing this the day of) so that I can have less stress and give myself all the time that I need instead of frantically writing the day before it's due.
